How do you picture yourselves in 5 or 10 years? Are you still going to be the same person as you are today? The true path to your personal improvement starts from within. There's no one that knows you better than yourselves. So look deep into yourselves and acknowledge the blind spots that might hold you back from the life you want.

Try out these tips that might trigger you to consider new possibilities and to change something that is no longer works for you. Try them to improve your life this month (or any month)!

1. Develop your emotional intelligence (EQ)

IQ is still the best predictor for job success but once you get a job and thinking about getting promotion, increasing your role or leading others, IQ will be begging for EQ to come out. With unlimited access to the internet, we might as well have some fun with it! Try out any reliable EQ test available and it will get you thinking about your strengths and limitations in EQ. You might be surprised.

2. Choose to live in integrity

"The highest courage is to dare to be yourself in the face of adversity. Choosing right over wrong, ethics over convenience, and truth over popularity…these are the choices that measure your life. Travel the path of integrity without looking back, for there is never a wrong time to do the right thing."

Be honest in your life. When you're honest, you don't hesitate to do the right thing. You don't have to second guess your decision or have doubts about what you do. Once you follow your inner voice and do what you think is right, you'll have a sense of completeness. To live with integrity needs a repetition of good behaviour. Practicing integrity on daily basis may take courage but it's ultimately satisfying, and over time it will be our first choice.

3. Deals with problem quickly instead of neglecting them

Don't avoid conflicts, procrastinate or put it aside. Don't let it become your unresolve business. Be open to yourself about things that you need to take care of and have the courage to deal with it. The first step always the hardest but things will get easier from there.

4. Watch your words when you speak

"Words satisfy the mind as much as fruit does the stomach; good talk is as gratifying as a good harvest."

Conflicts, misunderstanding and confusion comes from the words we use and the communication we had. So be wise and careful when choosing the words. Always keep in mind the best interest of other person. When you do it, you'll get more in return!

5. Learn from the wisdom of others

"An extension of humility is to acknowledge that you don't know everything."

Don't consider yourself as Mr.-Know-It-All because no one will ever be! Be humble in learning and open to gain knowledge from anyone because sometimes, the best learning comes in the most unexpected way. Reach out and get connected with more people to learn more new and exciting things that could change your life.
