Employers in Selangor Can Now Purchase Vaccine for Staff

Employers in Selangor can now purchase the Covid-19 vaccine for their staff through the state government.

Exco member managing public health Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud stated that interested employers could sign up to purchase the vaccines via Selangor's SELangkah application.

She said that the SELangkah had opened registration to businesses interested in getting the vaccines for their workers. 

The Selangor government has allocated about RM100mil to assist in expediting the National Immunisation Programme. 

 

Registration guide

  1. Registration. Employers can register their interest and their number of employees on the SELangkah VAX website.

  2. Booking information. SELCARE Clinic will send an invoice within 24 hours. Employers will need to send in a 50% deposit to confirm the booking. 

  3. Balance payment. Employers must make the payment for the remaining 50% at least 14 days before the vaccination date. The company staff must submit their details on SELangkah before vaccination.

  4. Scheduling. Once the deposit has been processed, employers can set vaccination appointments at the company or a panel clinic. 

  5. First dose. A task force will go to the company, or the staff will go to the panel clinic for their first vaccination dose. They will be notified of the second vaccination dose appointment. Companies with fewer than 1,500 employees will be assigned a panel clinic for their vaccination.

  6. Second dose. The task force will go to the company, or the staff will go to the panel clinic for the second vaccination dose. They can access their vaccine certificate via the SELangkah mobile app or website.

  7. Monitoring. Those who have been vaccinated can report any side effects after their vaccination via the SELangkah app or website. 

 


Employers in Selangor can now purchase vaccine at SELangkah VAX website.

Registration for employers

Employers can sign up at the SELangkah VAX website. They will need to provide company information such as:

  1. Company name,
  2. Company phone number,
  3. Company e-mail address,
  4. Full company address,
  5. Postcode,
  6. City,
  7. State.

Then, the employer must choose their company's category, sub-category, and specific category.

As of now, the only two categories that are available are:

  1. Manufacturing facility, and
  2. Real estate (sub-category: Property industry)

Here are the sub-categories under Manufacturing:

  • Agriculture,
  • Automobile,
  • Computer,
  • Construction,
  • Costume, 
  • Electrical, 
  • Electronic,
  • Food,
  • Furniture,
  • General merchandise,
  • Hardware,
  • Medical,
  • Paper,
  • Shoe,
  • Telecommunication, and
  • Textile.

The final step requires the employer to provide the person in charge's information:

  • The person in charge's name,
  • Their phone number,
  • Their e-mail address, and
  • The number of employees.

All they need to do now is confirm that they have read and agree to pledge their personal details in the POIS privacy statement.
