You Can Check Your GKP 3.0 Application Status Starting Today

Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz stated that the government is channelling RM5.08 billion to almost one million micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) under the Geran Khas Prihatin (GKP). The GKP aims to ease the micro SMEs struggles since the pandemic hit Malaysia.

Under Pemerkasa, which was announced on March 17, 2021, he said the government decided to provide GKP 3.0 of RM1,000 to over one million micro traders to ensure their business continuity, particularly in managing their cash flow. 

Tengku Zafrul said the government provided a similar commitment under the new Pemerkasa Plus announced on May 31, 2021. Under this programme, the government will disburse an additional amount of RM500 for each micro SMEs to help them navigate through the total lockdown. This latest assistance brings the total value of RM1,500 for each micro SMEs under GKP 3.0, which also means the overall payment of GKP 3.0 is RM1.5 billion.

Aid for existing recipients and new applicants

The minister said almost one million micro SMEs, including existing recipients of the first two MCOs and micro SMEs that have been approved under MCO 3.0, will receive a payment of RM1,000 from June 10 in stages. 

He said the payment would be credited directly to the bank account registered in the GKP system, and applicants can check the approval status from June 8, 2021, at this link https://gkp.hasil.gov.my.

An additional payment of RM500, including an allocation of almost RM500 million, will be paid this July, bringing the full amount under GKP 3.0 to RM1.5 billion. 

Differences between GKP Tambahan and GKP 3.0

Eligibility requirements for GKP 3.0

1. Not a previous GKP recipient; 

2. The applicant must be a Malaysian citizen;

3. Applicant runs a micro SME as follows:

   1. Total annual sales or turnover less than RM300,000; 

   2. The number of full-time workers does not exceed four people, excluding owners;

4. Registered with the following agencies;

   1. i. Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM)

   2. Local Authority (PBT) or Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM)

5. Still actively conducting business at the time the applicant submitted.

GKP 3.0 Payment Date

Eligible applicants will receive RM1,000 starting June 10. The payment will be made in stages.

GKP 3.0 Application Status

Applicants can check the approval status from June 8, 2021, at this link https://gkp.hasil.gov.my.

How to check your application status:

1. Go to https://gkp.hasil.gov.my.
2. Log in using the ID and password you have registered.
3. Click "Semakan Status".
4. The site will display the status and date the payment will be credited into the bank account.

Payment Method

Payment will be credited to the recipient's personal bank account registered on the application.

The applicant's bank account must be active.

The applicant must have a savings/current bank account as GKP payments are only credited to recipients with an active bank account.
