GKP 4.0 is a financial assistance given to eligible Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Eligible recipients will receive RM1,000 and payment will be made in two phases.

 

1. Who is eligible for GKP 4.0?

  • Existing recipients of GKP 1.0, GKP 2.0 and GKP 3.0, and

  • New GKP 4.0 applicants

 

2. How much will eligible applicants receive?

Both new applicants and existing recipients of previous GKP will receive RM1,000 in two phases.

 

3. What are the requirements for the new GKP 4.0 applicants?

  1. Not a recipient of previous GKP 1.0, GKP 2.0 and GKP 3.0,

  2. Applicant must be a Malaysian citizen,

  3. Applicant runs an MSME as follows:

    1. Total annual sales/turnover less than RM300,000,

    2. Must not have more than four full-time workers, excluding owners,

  4. Registered with the Local Authority (PBT) or the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) or the Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN) before or on 30 June 2021, and

  5. Actively conducting business at the time of application.

 

4. Where can I apply for GKP 4.0?

You can apply for GKP 4.0 online through the official GKP portal (https://gkp.hasil.gov.my). You must first input your IC number, and if you had not received GKP assistance before, you may begin a new application for GKP 4.0 by clicking "Permohonan Baharu".

 

5. When can I apply for GKP 4.0?

You can apply for GKP 4.0 starting 15 July 2021 until 31 July 2021.

6. Do existing recipients of GKP 1.0, GKP 2.0 and GKP 3.0 need to re-apply for GKP 4.0?

No, they do not need to re-apply. The new GKP 4.0 application is only for MSMEs that do not receive GKP 1.0, GKP 2.0 and GKP 3.0.

 

7. My previous GKP application status was Ineligible (Tidak Layak). Can I apply for GKP 4.0?

If your previous GKP status was Ineligible (Tidak Layak), then you are not eligible to apply for GKP 4.0.

 

8. My previous GKP application status was Not Approved (Tidak Lulus). Can I apply for GKP 4.0?

Yes. The new GKP 4.0 application is open to MSMEs that did not receive GKP 1.0, GKP 2.0 and GKP 3.0 and did not have a prior record of GKP and Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR) applications.

 

9. When can I check the GKP 4.0 application status?

The Ministry of Finance will inform you on your application status from time to time. 

 

10. When will I receive GKP 4.0 assistance?

GKP 4.0 payment will be made in two phases: 

  • Phase 1 in September 2021, and

  • Phase 2 in November 2021.

All recipients will receive RM500 in each phase,

 

11. How will I receive the GKP 4.0 payment?

The payment will be credited to the applicant's personal bank account registered on the GKP 4.0 application. Applicants must ensure that the bank account is active.  

 

12. I had registered and currently running a business in 2021 (before 30 June 2021). Should I report sales for 2020?

If you had registered your business in 2021 and before 30 June 2021, you would only need to report sales received in 2021.  

 

13. I had registered and been running a business before or in 2020. When should I report sales on the GKP 4.0 application?

If you registered the business and are operating before or in 2020, you need to report the total sales for 2020 and 2021. 

 

14. I was approved for Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR) 2021. Am I eligible to receive GKP 4.0?

If you were eligible for the 2021 BPR or Rayuan BPR, you are not eligible to receive GKP 4.0

 

15. I would like to decline the GKP assistance. How do I return the payment?

  1. Send a letter to the Ministry of Finance stating the full name, IC number and reason for return.

  2. Attach a bank draft or check in the name of the Accountant General of Malaysia (according to the return amount).

  3. Submit the letters and bank drafts/checks to the Ministry of Finance at the address: National Budget Office Ministry of Finance Malaysia Precinct 2, 62592 Putrajaya
