Incorporate Your Company Online Through MYCoID Portal

The MyCOID SSM System is an online company incorporation and company registration service launched by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).

Now, we can use the Malaysia Corporate Identity Number (MyCOID) as the reference for all registrations and transactions conducted with government agencies. 

The introduction of the MyCOID system has effectively phased out the need for many serial numbers assigned for public dealings and internal references purposes. 

What's the big deal about MyCoID SSM?

Launched by SSM, the system allows Malaysian company incorporation services to be carried out online, making it simple, hassle-free, and quick.

MyCoID refers to the business identification number used when dealing with incorporation documents. It is a registration number issued by the SSM when a company, sole proprietor or partnership registers their business.

For private limited companies, SSM has implemented a new company registration number. The company registration number has 12 digits that can be used for all company documenting purposes.

MyCoID was created to help entrepreneurs reduce bureaucracy while saving time for entrepreneurs in Malaysia.

Functions of MyCoID

With MyCoID, the corporate community now only needs to use one number, which is the company incorporation number issued by the SSM for registration, reference and transactions purposes with the following agencies:

• Inland Revenue Board (IRB);

• Social Security Organization (SOCSO);

• Human Resource Development Berhad (PSMB);

• Employees Provident Fund (EPF); and

• Small and Simple Enterprise Corporation (SME Corp.Malaysia).

MyCoID replaces various numbers issued by the agency for matters involving the corporate community and the agency's internal references.

How to use the MyCoID system

First, you must be registered as an active user. You may register as an Individual User or a Professional User (for Professional Bodies or Licensed Secretaries). 

You can then register and incorporate a company via the MyCoID portal, which you can complete in three simple steps:

1. Register your business and submit the relevant details on the MyCoID portal.

2. Wait for the SSM's approval.

3. You will receive a notification of the registration from the SSM via email.

You can access the MyCoID system anytime to conduct company name searches and make payments. This system significantly decreases the waiting time required to obtain a new company's incorporation details.

The MyCoID system accepts payments from major local and foreign-issued credit cards via MasterCard or Visa.
