Through the National Economic Recovery Plan (PENJANA), the government has announced the Hiring Incentive Programme which is conducted under the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO)

In this article, we will explain how to register with MyFutureJobs as employer and employee.

Hiring Incentive and Training Programme

The Prime Minister announced the #HireMalaysia program on 15 June 2020.  There are three categories under #HireMalaysia:

  1. Employment Incentives that hire local job seekers under 40;
  2. Employment Incentives that hire local job seekers aged 40 and over; and
  3. Employment Incentives that hire local job seekers among vulnerable groups including the disabled, and SOCSO Return to Work Program participants

* Note: the age of the job seeker is based on the date of birth at the time of application

Implemented by SOCSO under the Ministry of Human Resources, it aims to stimulate job creation and increase employment opportunities.

As the PenjanaKerjaya creates many job opportunities, SOCSO urges unemployed individuals including graduates and school leavers to sign up at MyFutureJobs portal. Jobseekers who need assistance can contact SOCSO or go to the nearest SOCSO office nationwide where SOCSO’s Career Counselors will be available to help them.

For employers, SOCSO Employment Services Officers are willing to provide support to employers in need of assistance such as job vacancy registration and/or hiring.

Employers with job vacancies in their companies can register their profiles at penjanakerjaya.perkeso.gov.my. If employers manage to hire employees through this program, they must register these employees with SOCSO for compulsory contributions.

It is now easier to hire using MYFutureJobs.

Beginning July 1, 2020, employers can choose the names of workers who are recruited under this program through penjanakerjaya.perkeso.gov.my for incentive payment approval.

Employment incentives will be paid the following month after SOCSO contributions are paid, along with mobility allowance for eligible employees, paid to employees through their employer.

Employers will only need to apply for an incentive for each employee once and the next month's incentive payment (for 6 months) will be made automatically.

Beginning July 1st, 2020, if necessary, employers will be able to choose from a list of approved courses at penjanakerjaya.perkeso.gov.my for skills training and development for their employees who are recruited through the program. This training program will be implemented in collaboration with the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF).

SOCSO is currently exploring opportunities to collaborate with various Private Employment Agencies to increase job prospects for job seekers and the unemployed.
